I used to make my living in the corporate world as an engineer and
manager. My education is mechanical engineering, electrical engineering
and business administration.
I decided to build furniture full time (was a long time, part time business) and escape the corporate world. After a couple of years, I realized that I did not have the customer base to earn a living building furniture and custom cabinets.
I joined a local company remodeling kitchens. I do a kitchen a week with three weeks vacation per year. Most of the work is reface with 1/4" hardwood face frames and 1/4" matching hardwood plywood sides, bottoms and tops (where the top is exposed). Some replacement cabinets and added cabinets are involved.
I am now limiting my kitchen work to about two days per week. This schedule allows me to devote most of my time to custom furniture/cabinets work. Please contact me if you have custom furniture or cabinet work that you wish done. UPDATE: I am now fully retired from kitchen work and devoting all of my woodworking time to furniture/custom cabinetry.
I will update this page from time to time; so please feel free to re-visit.
